Body Technician

  • Basic Duties

    • Restore collision-damaged vehicles to pre-accident condition: You'll be the metal magician, using your skills to  ensure a flawless finished repair.
    • Accurately assess damage:  Your keen eye will identify all issues and translate them into a clear repair plan.
    • Perform high-quality repairs using advanced tools and techniques. 
    • Maintain a safe and clean work environment: You'll be a safety champion, following protocols and keeping your workspace organized for peak efficiency.
    • Communicate effectively and colleagues: Clear explanations and collaboration are key to keeping everyone on the same page and exceeding expectations.
  • Basic Skillset

    • Metalworking: The ability to weld, cut, and manipulate steel and aluminum for structural and panel repairs.
    • Panel Repair: Experience shaping, aligning, and repairing damaged body panels to restore their original form.
    • Paint Preparation: Skilled in prepping surfaces for painting, including sanding, masking, and applying body filler.
    • Attention to Detail: A keen eye for imperfections and the dedication to ensure a precise and high-quality repair.

Estimator

  • Basic Duties

    • Inspect damaged vehicles: You'll be the detective, thoroughly examining car exteriors, interiors, and sometimes even undercarriages to assess all the collision damage.
    • Write detailed estimates: Translate that damage into a clear, concise report outlining the parts, labor, and time needed to bring the car back to pre-accident condition.
    • Communicate effectively: Be the bridge between customers, insurance companies, and technicians, clearly explaining the repair process, timeline, and costs.
    • Negotiate estimates: Collaborate with all parties to reach a fair and accurate repair plan that fits everyone's needs.
    • Stay up-to-date: Continuously learn about new industry standards, repair techniques, and parts pricing to ensure your estimates stay sharp.
  • Basic Skillset

    • Strong Attention to Detail: Identifies all damage accurately, including hidden or minor issues, to ensure a complete and accurate repair estimate.
    • Knowledge of Auto Repair: Understands common collision repairs, parts, and labor costs to create realistic estimates.
    • Excellent Communication Skills: Clearly explains repairs and costs to customers, listens to their concerns, and answers questions effectively.
    • Proficiency in CCC ONE Estimating Software: Skilled in using industry-standard estimating software to efficiently generate detailed and accurate repair quotes.
    • Customer Service Focus: Provides a positive and professional experience for customers during the estimating process.
